Nike's 1948 store has incorporated a Playtop surface for its floor to create a space that is part retail outlet and part creative playground.
Situated in Shoreditch, East London, 1948 houses all of Nike's sportswear range, in addition to being used as a meeting place for the local community.
The flooring uses Playtop wet-pour surfacing, which contains recycled sports shoes in its make-up. The 117sq m area uses up to 92 per cent recycled product and contains rubber from over 880 pairs of trainers.
The 'Running Man' graphic for the surfacing was created by Oscar Wilson and includes red, yellow and green lines to represent the local tube lines.
In total, more than two million square metres of Playtop surfacing has been installed worldwide.
