Smart solutions heating up hospitality sector
17 Oct 2014 . BY Jason Holland
Smart Fire UK specialises in heating solutions for the hospitality sector
Smart Fire UK has added an innovative outdoor heater to its range of “new generation” heating products for the hospitality sector.

At just over two metres tall, the ‘Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat Portable’ features a slim design and black finish that allows it to blend into the background, heating the space without ruining the ambience of a venue.

It can heat a 20m2 size area with a heat output of 11.7Kw, which Smart Fire says is more than seven times that of a traditional outdoor heater. It also features a pivoting head and precise heat control.

Smart Fire is the sole distributor of Bromic in the UK, with the range also including the electric ‘Tungsten Smart-Heat’ and the gas ‘Platinum Smart Heat’. The company includes the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The May Fair hotel and The Chelsea Harbour Hotel among its clients.

Other products within the hospitality industry include the EcoSmart ‘Fire Box’ and ‘VB2’ burner in a traditional fire surround, as well as the Heatscope range of ‘Infrared’ heaters, which are designed to economically heat the environment outdoors too where choice of positioning and subtlety are important factors.

Environmental considerations are also important in all products. Paul Holt, business manager at Smart Fire UK, believes bio-ethanol fuel is becoming increasingly popular both as a green fuel and a cost effective way to heat a room. “Bio-ethanol fuel offers customers huge scope when it comes to where to install a fire,” he said. “Because they do not need a chimney or flue, they can be situated anywhere. With an independent supply of fuel, the fire does not need to be near a supply of mains electricity or gas.”
