Rich Brilliant Willing launch lighting collection in the UK in collaboration with Staffan Tollgard |
|
Rich Brilliant Willing (RBW) has announced its UK debut with retail partner Staffan Tollgard Design Group.
Staffan Tollgard will act as a UK base for the Brooklyn-based lighting design studio, and will stock RBW’s lighting fixtures in its London showroom.
Established in 2009 by Theo Richardson, Charles Brill and Alexander Williams, RBW specialises in handcrafted LED light fittings for the hospitality industry.
Alexander Williams, co-founder and the ‘willing’ branch of RBW, says: “Our mission is to create atmosphere with LED lighting, using technology, simplicity and creativity.”
He adds: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Staffan Tollgard to make RBW’s LED fittings accessible to a growing London audience.”
Staffan Tollgard, creative director for the Staffan Tollgard Design Group, says: “For me, RBW combines the artisan qualities – their luminaires are made with an OCD-esque perfectionism.”
Tollgard adds: “Handmade should not imply a tolerance of imperfection. RBW’s execution and attention to detail is second-to-none. I am truly excited to bring some of their most iconic pieces to their first London home.”
The news of this partnership follows RBW’s recent collaboration with David Rockwell’s award-winning architecture firm, Rockwell Group.
The Rockwell/RBW collection features three pieces: Phase, a sconce inspired by the waxing and waning of the moon, Notch, a rectangular sconce featuring a rhombus-shaped cut out and Witt, a modular and geometric chandelier.
