Simex-Iwerks has announced a new partnership with MacGillivray Freeman Films, that will see the development of three new and exclusive flying films for Simex Iwerks' flying theatre attraction, the Vertical 4D Experience.
Flying Across America will be the first release, launching in spring 2019, while Flying Across America is expected to launch next summer and Flying Wild is slated for an autumn release. The films will be distributed by Simex Iwerks' Entertainment arm, while MacGillivray Freeman will also collaborate with the company to create custom Vertical 4D Experiences.
Shaun MacGillivray, president of MacGillivray Freeman Films, said: We are storytellers. When Simex-Iwerks shared their new vertical 4D Experience design, we knew we could deliver pristine aerial films that could complement the ride technology to capture the true feeling of having wings."
Michael Needham, president and CEO at Simex Iwerks, said: "We are proud to introduce our Vertical 4D Experience. We have been developing this breakthrough in 4D technology for three years."
Designed to authentically re-create the sensation of flying or deep sea diving, the Vertical 4D Experience is a scalable 4D flying theatre attraction. It features a patented thrust capability and a giant screen to fully-immerse riders in the action.
