Polin created the new play structure by combining several of its bestselling waterslides |
|
Renowned water ride manufacturer Polin has designed and installed a new water play structure at The Tropical Islands indoor waterpark resort in Brandenburg, Germany.
Designed exclusively for the resort, the structure is billed as a highly-interactive, multi-level, themed attraction and combines several of Polin's best selling slides - including Windigo, Compact Slide and Space Hole - and incorporates a number of different theming elements.
Constructed from 48 bespoke plates, the structure measures 49ft (15m) and features a custom-designed entry arch that welcomes guests. A 116-step climb takes guests to the very top of the structure where they are met with a birds eye view of the attraction and surrounding waterpark.
It consists of ten components that, when combined, create six two-level modules that are anchored using a special floor-mounting system. It also features a custom hydro-mechanical system that was designed to fit into the smallest space possible.
In addition, a number of the company's technologies, such as natural light effects, special pattern effects and transparent waterslides, were adapted for the complex.
