The Tiara9 system has been selected by leisure trust, GLL, to support the nationwide rollout of its Healthwise GP referral programme.

Originally developed for the exacting environment of NHS therapy clinics, Tiara9 makes the power and adaptability of a successful clinical management IT system available to the providers of exercise-on-referral (EOR) schemes.

Steve Healey, product manager of Tiara9, says: “It’s all there. Tiara9 is a mature, robust and incredibly able piece of software, ideally suited to managing large scale public health referral schemes.”

With NHS e-Referral Service accreditation and an on-premise or cloud-based scale the system’s features fully support the end-to end management of EOR schemes.

“We handle referrals processing, secure storage of patient details, triaging, waiting list management, appointment scheduling, staffing and room allocations, clinics and programmes of treatment, the recording of progress and detailed reporting to commissioning bodies,” says Healey.

The system is designed to be used by a diverse range of NHS clinical professions; from physiotherapy to audiology to diet and nutrition clinics and more, so flexibility is built in. “For us, using Tiara9 in the arena of public health is the natural evolution of the product,” he continues.

Ethitec has found a key partner in GLL. “It’s great GLL recognise the qualities of Tiara9,” says Healey. “Ethitec is an active software house, so together we’ve built on its strong feature set to make the necessary adaptations to best meet their needs.”

Ethitec has over 30 years’ experience in providing healthcare solutions and bespoke systems.

The business covers application software package sales, bespoke software development, and the associated provision of support services, consultancy and training to over 250 customers in the UK.
