Biohacking Orb launches at CES

A touchless, self-administered wellness experience which taps into evidence-based modalities to enhance spirit and mood, and improve body and mind performance, launches today (12 January) at global tech trade show, CES.

The Biohacking Orb is a sleek, ergonomic chamber which uses a range of technologies and therapies as wellness biohacks "to enhance brain performance, physical recovery, improve immunity, sleep and much more in minutes versus hours, days, weeks or even years".

It uses neuro-acoustic sound therapy, applying specific sound frequencies and rhythms to induce a desired brain state – from wide awake and alert to creative or deeply relaxed.

A zero-gravity mattress adds to the sound therapy experience by passing low-frequency vibrations through the body. This approach has been recognised for its ability to increase circulation, deliver pain relief and increase joint mobility.

Chromatherapy and aromatherapy are also deployed.

These modalities are all combined in different ways in seven Orb Treatment Journeys:

  • Circadian Reboot – a 10-minute sleep prep journey

  • Quick Fix – a 15-minute journey to settle the mind

  • Healing & Recovery – a 15-minute sonic therapy session to reduce pain/promote healing

  • Reframing Anxiety – a 25-minute journey to reset the nervous system

  • Rescue Remedy – a 30-minute immunity boosting journey

  • Chakra Balancing – a 30-minute journey for mind, body and soul

  • Refresh & Recharge – a 45-minute relaxation and rest journey

Price points have yet to be finalised, but Spa Business has been told it's likely that they'll be affordable - lower than a typical one-hour massage - as the idea is to sell a course of treatments rather than one-offer services.

"The Orb enables spas to provide treatments that are based on science," says company creator, Abdul Nassani.

"Perhaps, most importantly, it gives them a revenue stream that's based on touchless, self-administered treatments. Something that has become incredibly relevant for today’s touch-adverse clients.”

Nassani is an entrepreneur and is also the CEO of WoW Wellness which develops and supplies spas in the Middle East, Russia and Europe.

Pre-orders for the Biohacking Orb are being taken now and shipping will commence in late February.
